Volunteers

The DOME Association relies heavily on the work of volunteers.  The organisation was originally started in 1981 by a group of volunteers and since that time has operated with a small staff of paid employees and a much larger group of volunteers.

There are many reasons people volunteer to work with DOME and all are equally valued.  Some volunteer as a means of maintaining and improving their workplace skills so that they will be in a stronger position in the employment market.  Others volunteer because they wish to contribute to the work of DOME and at the same time participate in a friendly and worthwhile occupation.  We hope you find your volunteer work with us pleasant and satisfying.
