About DOME
DOME is a community-based not-for-profit employment and training organisation that has been offering services to mature age unemployed and disadvantaged people in South Australia since 1981. A Board of Management made up of members oversees the affairs of the Association.
Employment Services - assisting mature-aged unemployed and other disadvantaged people back into the workforce. We have a small number of paid qualified and experienced staff and a large number of unpaid volunteers who work to keep our organisation running. We welcome applications from people who would like to volunteer to work with DOME.
Since its inception, DOME has seen over 20,000 of our members return to the workforce at a rate of about 1,000 per year. We currently have over 2,000 members. Our Services
Training and Assessment - delivering a range of training course which are both nationally accredited and non-accredited to provide the skills mature aged people need to get back into employment.
Voluntary Work – is offered to DOME members to help improve their awareness and skills for paid employment.
Advocacy – acting as a voice for mature-aged unemployed with industry, government and the community.
Consultancy Services - for employers in government and industry to assist with planning and training for mature-aged employment. Our Staff
