The DOME Association is a specialist employment service for mature aged unemployed and other disadvantaged people seeking employment.
This is a special service which can provide assistance to employers who are forced to retrench or dismiss staff. Employers may select from a range of services that DOME can provide to assist the staff into other employment opportunities.
This program has been developed to assist people in managing their career transition, and will provide the tools to set career goals that can be attained in a timely and effective manner. To this end, we may not get a job for the person, but we will show them how to get their own job.
We provide coaching and advice and act as a sounding board for their ideas. We can help them to decide what they want, and then show them how to pursue it. We know what works in career management and job search and, just as importantly, what doesn’t.
The assistance provided takes several forms:-
- Practical advice and counsel. This will help them establish their career options. Where do I go from here and what are my alternatives? What kind of job is appropriate for me? In what kind of company? What about consulting or my own business? How do I pursue my chosen option or options?
- Assistance with job search. We will help them to develop a professional curriculum vitae, develop a marketing plan and how to present confidently in interviews.
- Office and secretarial support. In some cases, an additional service is offered, where we provide the resources the person may need to manage a professional job search including office accommodation, word processing, telephone, facsimile, computer, photocopier research facilities and website access.
Feel free to contact us if we can be of service or to discuss your specific needs.
